106 applicants hired on the spot at Clark job fair

A total of 106 applicants were hired-on-the- spot in a job fair held recently at the Clark Cityfront Mall, organized by Clark Development Corporation (CDC) in partnership with various locators in this Freeport.

CDC, through its External Affairs Department (EAD) – Corporate Social Responsibility and Placement Division (CSRPD), spearheaded the said event to provide opportunities for individuals who are looking for local employment in Clark.

According to the state-owned firm, more than 5, 000 job vacancies were offered by 53 companies who were present during the event which started from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Over 800 applicants flocked to the fair which was opened to all individuals with various educational backgrounds including professionals, college graduates, vocational graduates, high school graduates, and undergraduates.

CDC Vice President for Administration and Finance Engr. Mariza O. Mandocdoc said that the activity is the first job fair organized by CDC after the pandemic.

“This is the first ever job fair that we did after the pandemic and we take this activity with so much prayer in our hearts that there will be a matching of the available jobs and the available manpower. We know how important it is that we find our place under the sun and find work and employment because this is where we spend most of our waking time,” she said.

Meanwhile, CDC Vice President for Engineering Services Group Jose Miguel Dela Rosa thanked the various companies in Clark who continuously provide opportunities for the Filipinos.

“We are really fortunate to have locators in CDC and in the Freeport who are ready to help our fellow Filipinos. Malaking bagay sa amin ito at sa amin sa CDC, ang partnership na ito will not end here but it will continue in the coming years. Maraming salamat sa inyo. In behalf of our CDC president and chief executive officer Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera, nagpupugay kami sa inyo at mabuhay ang Pilipino,” he added.

Also present during the event are the executives from the Clark Cityfront Mall headed by Megaworld Lifestyle Malls Vice President and Head of Mall Operations Rene Arnobit and Assistant Vice President Michael G. Lao.
