13 killed, 109 arrested in Bulacan PNP’s EMPO

Thirteen drug suspects were killed while one hundred nine were apprehended and eighteen firearms and numerous illegal drugs were confiscated in the simultaneous Enhance Managing Police Operation (EMPO) conducted by Bulacan Police on Wednesday.

PSSupt. Romeo Caramat Jr., Provincial Director of Bulacan PNP, identified the suspects who died during police operations as Limwell Vernales in Bocaue; a certain alias “Joey” and alias “Joel” both from Bulakan; Emmanuel Manicad in Malolos; alias “Pakyaw” in Plaridel; alias “ay-one” in Pulilan; alias “Ode”, alias “Elmer”, alias “Pakdon” and alias “Aye” all of City of SJDM; France Cortez in San Rafael; Mario Alegre in Baliuag and one unidentified in Santa Maria.

It was learned that fifty-seven Buy Bust Operations; eleven Service of Warrant of Arrest, two implementation of Search Warrant, one Check-point and three Police Response were conducted by twenty-three out of twenty-four police stations in Bulacan including the Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) and Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB).

Caramat said, a total of three hundred five pieces of heat sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected “shabu” with an estimated weight of 101.2803 grams, fifty-nine pieces of plastic sachet of marijuana with an estimated weight of 670.745 grams and other drug paraphernalia while eighteen firearms were seized during the operations.

The arrested suspects and confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to Bulacan Crime Laboratory Office for examination. While appropriate criminal complaints against them are now being prepared for filing in court.
