CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Two members of the Central Luzon PNP were adjudged winners in the First Police Regional Office 3 search for Men of Excellence Awards recently held in this regional police camp.
Police Captain Dennis Duran of the Regional Mobile Force 3 (RMF3) stationed in this camp, and Police Master Sergeant Melody Rodriguez of the Regional Headquarters, outsmarted their comrades during the search and deliberation of nominees, said Police Lt. Colonel Fe Grenas, chief of the Public Information Office here.
Grenas said the project was aimed at highlighting the exemplary performance of PRO3 cops with its core values – MakaDiyos, Makatao, Makakalikasan at Makabansa – as basis during the screening and selection of deserving police officers.
“The screening committee found the four core values of the PNP from the two awardees and immediately proclaimed them as winners,” said Grenas in a press statement sent to reporters Monday.
The first excellence awards night, Grenas said, was held at PANA (Multi-purpose) Hall in this regional police headquarters where PRO3 staff and civilian guests including families of the awardees witnessed the ceremonies.
The first excellence awards for Central Luzon PNP was launched on June 20 at the Imerex Hotel with Police Brig. General Joel Napoleon Coronel, director of PRO3 and businessman Erwin Dizon of Saint Catherine Realty as prime movers of the project.
Grenas said the winners received residential lots worth P1.5 million each from the St Catherine Realty Corporation.
“This search is very timely lalo na ngayon na kabi-kabila ang mga alegasyon ng katiwalian na ikinakabit sa ating kapulisan, nararapat lamang na kilalanin ang mga katangi-tangi at magigiting nating mga pulis na buong katapatang nagsisilbi upang mapangalagaan ang kaayusan sa ating mga komunidad. And here in Police Regional Office 3, we have a lot of PNP personnel who continuously serve our communities with dedication and faithfulness to our profession,” stated Coronel.
