The suspects were identified as Eliseo Soliman y Dela Cruz, male, 32 y/o, single and a resident of #1024 Clark St., Sta. Rita, Olongapo City; and Angelito Bamba Jr. y Reyes, male, 31 y/o and presently residing at #1 Lapu-lapu St., East Bajac-bajac, Olongapo City.

The suspects were arrested at 9:30 pm in an entrapment operation set up by operatives from the Olongapo City Police Office (OCPO) and the Intelligence and Investigation Office of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA-IIO) at the parking lot of a former vehicle conversion yard along the Maritan Highway here.

Police said that during the operation, the poseur-buyer was able to purchase one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu weighing approximately 0.05 gram worth P500 from both suspects, who conspired in selling the illegal drug.

Subsequently, back-up operatives confiscated another one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing approximately 1.5 grams of suspected shabu, and two more plastic sachets containing suspected shabu with an approximate total weight of 6 grams from both Soliman and Bamba.

Aside from the illegal drugs worth around P40,000, police retrieved from the suspects five P100 bills used as marked money in the drug transaction.

Police are now preparing documents for referral to the Olongapo City Prosecutor’s Office.

Soliman and Bamba will be charged with violation of RA 9175, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
