Two watchlisted drug personalities and four others were arrested in a buy-bust operation that resulted in the dismantling of a drug den in Laguna on January 7, 2018.
Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Director General Aaron N. Aquino identified the suspects as Jeffrey Amorante y Ramos, alias Dapo, 38 years old, watchlisted drug personality, Antonio Nunez y Daylo, 41, watchlisted drug personality; Tony Difunturom y Bondoc, 39; Arvin Gumarang y Castro, alias Ape, 32; Herbert Magnaye y Alcantara, 32; Jayson Pelegrina y Gumarang, alias Puti, 20. They who were arrested by operatives of PDEA Regional Office 4A (PDEA RO 4A) under the supervision of Director Archie Grande in Purok 1, Lumang Kalsada, Pansol, Calamba City, Laguna.
Confiscated during the operation were three pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu, weighing more or less 8 grams, with an estimated value of Php 40,000.00.
The suspects will be charged for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), Section 6 (Maintenance of a Drug Den), Section 7 (Visitors of a Drug Den), Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), Section 12 (Possession of Drug Paraphernalia), and Section 26b (Conspiracy to Sell Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act 9165, or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
