20 micro entrepreneurs in Bulacan undergo mentoring program

MALOLOS CITY — A total of 20 micro entrepreneurs in Bulacan
are currently undergoing a capability building under the Kapatid Mentor Micro Enterprises (KMME) program of Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

They are the second batch from the province to undergo a 10-week training focused on Entrepreneurship Mindset and Values Formation, Marketing, Financial Management, Product Development and Innovation, Business Law, Taxation, Human Resources, and Organizational Management.

“We tapped experts that will inspire and motivate our micro enterprises to improve their respective businesses. This is a good example of the partnership between government and the private sector by igniting the entrepreneurship revolution,” DTI Provincial Director Zorina Aldana said.

For her part, DTI Assistant Secretary Blesila Lantayona encouraged the new batch of mentees to complete the modules which will give them the “master’s degree program” on competitiveness.

Last year, 25 mentees mostly engaged in the food business graduated and completed KMME.

A number of them are now participating in the 2018 Sikat Pinoy National Food Fair at SM Megatrade Hall.

KMME is being implemented by DTI in partnership with Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship, which is under the leadership of Presidential Adviser Joey Concepcion.(PIA 3)
