200 scholars get scholarship grants

City of San Fernando —- At least 200 student beneficiaries of the provincial capitol received scholarship grants amounting to P3,000 each.

Board Members Ananias “June” Canlas and Dinan Labung led the distribution of financial assistance to the scholars at the Benigno Aquino Hall, Capitol Compound this city.

According to Labung, the educational financial aid which totaled P600, 000 came from the capitol budget of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, headed by Vice Governor Dennis “Delta “ Pineda, who has vowed to help the needy Kabalen students.

In their messages, the two board members advised the student beneficiaries to “take the opportunity coming their way, study harder and finish their education in order to get good jobs and help their families.”

One of the beneficiaries, Gianne Carla Gomez, a 5th year accountancy student at Fatima University and resident of Barangay Lourdes, City of San Fernando, thanked the provincial government for the scholarship program and promised to do her best to graduate and fulfill her dreams.

She said the assistance from the provincial capitol will lessen the burden of their parents in sending them to school.

The two board members stressed that the provincial government is in full support of the scholars and encouraged the latter to get passing grades. ##
