HERMOSA, Bataan — As the newly-installed chief of police here took his office, four persons were immediately arrested in two separate police operations recently.
In his report submitted to Bataan Police Director, Police Col. Villamor Tuliao, Police Major Jefferson Onde, Hermosa chief of police, identified the arrested suspects as Jeffrey Macaspac, 33, single, tricycle driver, a resident of Barangay Culis, Hermosa, Bataan and Rodolfo Fernandez, 35, single and a resident of Parang parang, Orani, Bataan.
They were arrested in a buy bust operation in Barangay Mambog where four sachets of shabu, drug paraphernalia, cash money worth P4,900 and P500 peso bill marked money were confiscated and were later charged with violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Meanwhile, in an earlier PNP operation, another two persons were nabbed allegedly selling fake brands of cigarettes.
They were identified as Louie Vasquez, 22, single, a resident of Barangay Mabuco and Jervy Dimacali, 30, presently residing in Barangay Mambog, Hermosa, Bataan.
They were arrested by combined forces of CIDG Bataan, 1st Provincial Mobile Group Company, Bataan Provincial Intelligence Branch led by Major Joey Sampaga and Hermosa PNP, by virtue of warrant of arrest from Presiding Judge Amelita Cruz Corpus for violating Section 170 of Republic Act 8293 or the Philippine Intellectual Property Act.
