CANDABA – Some 4,753 Candabeños on Friday received their free member data records (MDR) from the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (Philhealth).
Gov. Lilia ‘Nanay’ Pineda led the distribution of MDRs at Earth Park Covered Court and Pacoma Covered Court in Barangay Bahay Pare respectively where she was joined by board members Fritzie David-Dizon, Nelson Calara and Gerome Tubig, Mayor Danilo Baylon, and PhilHealth officials.
The governor reminded the recipients to make use of their free health insurance and seek immediate medical attention when needed.
She also reiterated that the beneficiaries are entitled to the “no-balance billing” policy of PhilHealth wherein they will not pay a single centavo once they were admitted at accredited government-run hospitals. According to Michelle Lopez, PhilHealth coordinator of the province, a total of 45,001 Kapampangans under the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) were enrolled in the sponsored program of PhilHealth. –Liezel Cayanan/PIO Pampanga
