6 arrested for drugs in Mabalacat

Six pushers and users have been arrested in Mabalacat City on Monday, the police said.

Sr. Insp. Melvin Florida of the Mabalacat City Police presented the six arrested drug pushers and users to Vice Mayor Christian Halili and Councilor Dan Bayani on Monday at the Mabalacat City Police Station, Barangay Poblacion.

Florida identified the six as: Raynell Pineda, 29; Jayson Balajadia, 24; and Jessie Balajadia, 20 (not in the photo), all residents of Barangay Poblacion. The other three were identified as Mark Solomom, 24, (rank 2 in drug watchlist); Rex Berna, 32; and Oliva Waje, 43, (rank 9 in drug watchlist), all residents of Barangay Sapang Biabas. The six are now facing charges for Violation of Section 5 and 11 of Article II of Republic Act 9165.

“Ang akala nila dahil sumurender na sila at nag enroll pa sa programa natin sa Bahay Pagbabago ay ligtas na sila kaya bumalik sila ulit sa pagdo-droga, tuloy-tuloy po ang pagmomonitor ng ating mga kapulisan para sugpuin ang illegal na droga,” Florida said.

City Mayor Marino “Boking” Morales has lauded the Mabalacat police for its sustained drive against illegal drugs.
