7 injured in Capas vintage bomb blast

CAPAS, Tarlac – Police reported on Sunday that seven persons were injured after a vintage bomb exploded in Capas, Tarlac.

Those who were injured were identified as  James Laxamana, 30; Nigel Laxamana, 10;  Jackilyn Laxamana, 30;  Marilou Laxamana, 50; Jerson Laxaman, 11;  Arleen Salazar, 24;  and Donna Torio, 53,  all residents of Bgy. Sta Juliana in  Capas.

Police said James Laxamana found the vintage bomb in Crow Valley and brought it home.

James and his son Nigel tried to dismantle the  vintage bomb together using a hammer causing it to explode.

The victims sustained injuries and were rushed to Ospital ning Capas for treatment while Jackilyn, James, Nigel, Marilou and Arleen were transferred to the Tarlac Provincial Hospital.
