70 families in Tarlac receive vegetables from NOLCOM, foundation

About 70 families in barangay Maamot in San Jose, Tarlac received assorted vegetables from the Kapwa Ko, Sagot Ko (KKSK) Project of Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Northern Luzon Command.

Rise and Rebuild International Foundation (RRIF) sponsored the activity while the AFP 1st Civil Relations Group (1st CRG), and the 31st and 32nd Companies of the 3rd Mechanized Infantry Battalion facilitated the distribution of the vegetables.

In a statement, 1st CRG Commander Colonel Arnel Cabugon vowed to collaborate with various stakeholders, and help other residents within their area of responsibility through the project.

“We appreciate the support of RRIF for making this project possible, and we continuously appeal to other organizations and individuals that have the capacity to help to be our partners in reaching out to more communities who are in need,” Cabugon said.

On behalf of the beneficiaries, barangay Maamot Kagawad Randy Partido thanked AFP and RRIF for extending help to their community.

“Our barangay is remote and we hardly receive support like this,” Partido added.

KKSK Project aims to provide food assistance to the less-fortunate residents, particularly those in vulnerable communities, to help them amid the COVID-19 pandemic. (CLJD/TJBM-PIA 3)
