80 Kapampangans receive hearing aids from Starkey

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – 80 Kapampangans have recently received hearing aids from Starkey Hearing Foundation.

Aside from giving free hearing aids, Starkey Hearing Foundation in partnership with the Provincial Health Office (PHO) also conducted seminar for around 32 nurses from PHO about the community-based hearing health care program according to Joseph Barte, Starkey Hearing Foundation Country Coordinator.

Meanwhile, another 14 Kapampangans also benefitted from the free hearing services provided by the said foundation during their visit here aside from the recipients of hearing aid.

The event which happened at Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center was also attended by Pampanga Second District Representative Anthony Joseph Torres, committee chair on health.

The foundation started their operation in Manila in 2011. In 2015, the Provincial Government of Pampanga and Starkey Foundation started their collaboration to provide health care to the hearing impaired Cabalens who cannot afford to have a hearing aid. –Leslie Anne Mahusay
