806 uniformed personnel in Bataan for 2022 polls

BALANGA CITY — About 806 uniformed personnel were deployed in Bataan for the 2022 National and Local Elections.

Police Provincial Director PCol. Romell Velasco said through the help of Philippine Army and Philippine Coast Guard, they deployed enough personnel for all voting centers and canvassing areas.

“We already coordinated with our Provincial Election Officer to ensure the security and safety of the province for the elections,” Velasco emphasized.

As per police data, there are two areas of concern in the province namely the towns of Limay and Mariveles.

Velasco also thanked the Diocese of Balanga and Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting in helping ensure a peaceful campaign period and elections for the 2022 polls.

He also encouraged Bataeños to speak up and report suspicious actions of candidates during campaign periods that may fall under election offenses of the Commission on Elections.

“Bataan Police, together with the Philippine Army and the Philippine Coast Guard are ensuring our citizens in preserving the peace of our province now that elections are near,” Velasco furthered. (CLJD/CASB-PIA 3)
