Tinajeros flood victims receive emergency relief aid

BACOLOR, Pampanga – Around 700 families displaced by flooding in Barangay Tinajeros received emergency relief goods on Monday, following their evacuation to Tinajeros Elementary School after floodwaters submerged their homes.

The San Fernando Filipino Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. (SFFCCCI), in partnership with the Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Inc. (FFCCCII) from Manila, spearheaded the relief effort.

Each affected family received:

5 kilograms of rice

2 cans of meat loaf (CDO or Argentina, 150g)

2 cans of sardines (555 or Ligo, 155g)

4 packs of Payless instant noodles

SFFCCCI President George Ong led the distribution, joined by Vice Presidents Gon Kehyeng, Mark Edison Chua, and Ruben Sy, along with Francisco Ong, Ed Goco, and June Ong. FFCCCII Board Member and Welfare Committee Chair Robert Kho Tian Ang and Carlos Legaspi of the Secretariat also participated.

The Local Government Unit of Bacolor, led by Mayor Eduardo “Diman” Datu, MSWDO Veronica Imperial, and Barangay Chairman Jay N. Dantes, provided on-ground support.

Officials expressed gratitude to the Chinese-Filipino community for their swift and generous assistance.
