Edgardo “Ed” S. Aguilar Sr., a veteran columnist, had joined his Creator on July 5, 2017 at the age of 75.
Aguilar was fondly called by friends and colleagues as “Tang Ed”, as well as his pen names “Dan U. Pan” and “Macky Pangan”.
Aguilar, also a known Kapampangan poet, suffered from a stroke last Wednesday afternoon in his home in Gemsville Subdivision in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
He also wrote for The Voice, Central Luzon Daily and Sun.Star Pampanga, and is remembered by his readers for his humor. He was also a member of the Multi Sectoral Governance Council of this city.
He is survived by his wife and children.
His remains now lie at the Good Shepherd Memorial Park in the city. Interment is tentatively scheduled on July 12, Wednesday. –MDDR
