CLARK FREEPORT— Officials of Clark Development Corporation recently called on newly installed Mabalacat City Mayor Cris Garbo here, discussing areas of cooperation to foster better relations between the city government and the state-owned firm.
CDC President and CEO Noel F. Manankil, accompanied by CDC Chairman Jose De Jesus, informed Garbo on various development projects in and around Clark.
The meeting was held at the Mabalacat City Hall extension office here on July 21.
Part of the discussions was the Clark Mabalacat Angeles Road (CMAR), including its planned gates in Dau and Mabiga and its extension to barangay San Joaquin to help ease traffic congestion along the McArthur Highway in the said city.
Manankil also apprised the local chief executive on CDC’s plan to conduct trainings that will help fill the 9,000 job vacancies here, particularly in the BPO and manufacturing industries.
For his part, Garbo informed CDC officials of the plan by his administration to enforce traffic rules and regulations along the entry points to Clark Freeport, particularly Velasquez street in downtown Mabalacat.
This, he said, is aimed at alleviating traffic problems faced by motorists, locators and residents of Clark and adjoining areas.
During the courtesy call, Garbo and CDC executives also explored measures to solve issues and concerns on the Certificate of Ancestral Domain Title (CADT) area which can be found in the northern tip of Mabalacat City.
Also present during the courtesy call were CDC Vice President for Security Ramsey Ocampo, AVP for External Affairs Rommel Narciso, AVP For Marketing Thelma Ocampo, AVP for Administration Zorayda Camello, and Manager for Communications Division Noel G. Tulabut.
Garbo, on the other hand was joined by newly designated City Legal Officer Emmanuel Ignacio, City Administrator Rosan Pacquia and the mayor’s daughter Councilor Win-Win Garbo.
