Philippine showbiz industry mourns the passing of Kapampangan veteran showbiz talent manager and showbiz columnist Alfie Lorenzo.
Lorenzo, 78, died on Tuesday dawn of a heart attack at the Solaire Hotel and Casino in Pasay City.
On twitter post of ABS-CBN Mario Dumaual tweeted “So long farewell sir Alfie Lorenzo, pioneering showbiz columnist/manager. Nephew Ramon Lorenzo confirms wake in QC and Pampanga.”
Lorenzo was fondly called “Tito Alfie” had been in the showbiz industry for 60 years. Among the talents he managed are Gretchen Barretto, Ruffa Gutierrez, Sunshine Cruz and Judy Ann Santos. Judy Ann spent her career under Tito Alfie for more than 32 years before she decided to part ways to have a solo career and represent herself.
Lorenzo’s remains will lie at the Arlington Memorial Chapels in Quezon City on Tuesday night. –JPM
