The events management (EVENMAN) class of Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management 4A of Jocson College Inc. (JCI) in Angeles City hosted the conference on tourism trends this 2017, December 7 at Midori Hotel and Casino, Clark Freeport Zone.
“Dubbed as Tourism Emerging Trends, this event will serve as a venue for the students to acquire first-hand information on current trends, innovations and practical challenges which are vital to the sustainability of the Tourism Industry,” Mary Joyce Ann Valencia, event manager, said.
The lecture was attended by more than a hundred future tourism practitioners from Angeles University Foundation, Systems Plus College Foundation Main and Miranda Campus, City College of Angeles, Mabalacat City College, Skills Power Institute, Republic Central Colleges, University of the Assumption, Gordon College and Colegio de Sebastian.
Participants were entertained by cultural song and dance numbers of Nayong Pilipino Cultural Performers.
On the lecture proper, keynote speakers are Jevren Sibug, licensed massage therapist, talked on The Role of Health and Wellness in Tourism Industry; Cynthia Tizon, president of Charisma Nature Farm in Magalang, who expounded Urban Gardening,food blogger Louie Sison of whereinpampanga.com on Gastro Tourism: Guide to Culinary Fanatics; and travel blogger Ann Tristine Yabut of wheninangeles and anntristine.wordpress.com on Solitary Travel: Voyaging Solo.
JCI College of Tourism Management Dean Rosan Olalia lauded the Gregarious Events Production under the advisory of Lloyd Feliciano for the successful event.

Former Department of Tourism Region III director Ronnie Tiotuico shared his 40 years of experience in the tourism industry leaving a challenge to the students to ‘do more’.
