One of the institutional environment programs that SM has pioneered is the ‘Trash to Cash’ program where customers may bring their recyclable garbage to all SM Malls (except SM Cubao and SM Makati) every first Friday and Saturday of each month to have it turned to cash.
For SM City Tarlac, location will be at the east parking. The schedule for the month of February is 2 and 3 between 10AM to 2PM.
Acceptable wastes are plastic and PET bottles, plastic scraps, tin and aluminum cans, books, newspapers, scratch papers, cardboard, furniture made of wood, metal cookware, kitchen utensils, polysterene and Styrofoam.
Batteries, car batteries, ink cartridge, computer, television and other electronic waste are not accepted due to tis hazardous content .
The “Trash-to-Cash Recycling Market” will be implemented even after the declaration of 2018 regular and special non-working holidays to avoid confusion.
