Marawi soldiers’ children get early summer treat at Aqua Planet in Clark

BBI Foundation President Dr. Irineo ‘Bong’ Alvaro and Clark Development Corporation President Noel Manankil welcomed some 150 children of courageous Marawi soldiers for a fun-filled day tour at Aqua Planet in Clark, Pampanga, on Sunday.

According Alvaro, this is a tripartite comunity project of Aqua Planet with Clark Development Corporation and Department of Foreign Affairs.

“We want to let them feel that we recognize the heroism of our soldiers in Marawi. The transportation was taken cared of by Genesis Bus and the food was sponsored by CDC,” Alvaro added.

“Most of our people here have been deployed in Marawi for about five months. We thank the DFA, CDC and Aqua Planet for this opportunity for our families,” Mike Lugtu of Civil Military Office said.

Prior to this, members of the Aeta community, persons with disability, religious group, mediamen and their families were also given a special treat in Aqua Planet.

Joining Alvaro and Manankil in welcoming the visitors are Aqua Planet General Manager Rafael Suarez, BBI External Affairs Head Jeff Del Mundo and BBI Admin personnel Enix Salvador.

Aqua Planet will open its gates to the public on February 24.
