SM ‘Shoes’ Some Love to Kids

Still in part of the continuing celebration of SM’s 60 #AweSM years, a total of 60,000 pairs of shoes were distributed through SM employee engagement to elementary school children nationwide.

Thousands of elementary students in Pampanga, Bulacan and Olongapo areas where there is SM malls received a pair of brand new school shoes.

In SM malls in Pampanga, San Fernando Downtown and Telabastagan, a simultaneous distribution of 2,000 pairs of shoes to chosen elementary schools in Masamat Elementary School, Sabanila Elementary School and Lagundi Elementary School in Mexico; San Pedro Cutud Elementary School and San Pablo Integrated School in City of San Fernando, respectively.

Through the donation, Iram Elementary School, Gordon Heights II Elementary School and Ilalim Elementary School students in Olongapo can now enjoy going to school in their new pair of shoes. SM City Olongapo volunteers were happy to have served and spent their time to make this project a success.

Three Thousand learners from public schools in Bulacan can now walk to school in comfort after receiving a donation of school shoes from SM Malls in Marilao, San Jose Del Monte, Pulilan and Baliwag as well as Sangandaan and Valenzuela.

Along with handwritten note from SM Mall volunteers, new school shoes were distributed to students at Loma De Gato and Patulo Elementary School in Marilao, Tungkong Mangga Elementary School in San Jose Del Monte and Engr. Vicente R. Cruz Memorial School in Baliwag.

Started as a humble shoe store 60 years ago, popularly known as ShoeMart , the company continues to reach out to the community where SM has mall. As a way of giving back, SM Supermalls has launched this project to give hopes to kids whom we refer as future leaders of this country.
