ABUCAY, Bataan– The Department of Trade and Industry Bataan Provincial Office (DTI Bataan) headed by Provincial Director Nelin Cabahug has reported a total of P750,552,400 worth of new investments for the first semester of the year 2019.
This was revealed last Friday by PD Cabahug during the “Kapihan sa DTI Bataan” held at the Villa Amanda Resort of this municipality. The said investments also employed a total of 6,250 number of work force.
Cabahug added that based on 3,113 new business name registrations, most of the new investments came from the Trading sector with 1,489 new businesses; Services – 1,454; Manufacturing – 114; and Agri-based businesses with 56 new investments.
One of the highlights for their 2019 first semester accomplishments was the launching of Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay in Barangay Gugo, Palili and Imelda in Samal town last June 19 and 27, and July 5, 2019.
The Consumer Corners were also launched in two major supermarkets in Dinalupihan and Balanga City namely Save More Market last April 10, 2019 and Puregold –Balanga last April 16, 2019.
Meanwhile, the Balik-Eskuwela Diskwento Caravan held last May 15-17, 2019 at the Plaza Mayor Balanga has generated a total sales of P2.3 million that benefitted an estimated 5,000 Bataeno consumers.
