Pogi to hospital chief: Probe anomalies at ONA

ANGELES CITY – Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin Jr. called the attention of the Rafael Lazatin Memorial Medical Center (RLMMC) Chief of Hoapital to regulate the alleged anomalies inside the hospital.

The Mayor signed Memorandum No. 503, series of 2019, instructing RLMMC Chief Froilan Canlas, to take care of the hospital’s internal issues.RLMMC, also known as Ospital Ning Angeles (ONA), was the subject of complaint of a concerned citizen last Aug. 14, thru hotline 8888.

“Nanding,” not his real name, reported that when he inquired at ONA regarding the circumcision of his son, one nurse referred him to a man who is said to be a security guard of the hospital.

According to him, Salenga told him that he needs to pay P2,500 for the circumcision. However, the transaction will be done without an official receipt.

In fact, he added, Salenga advised him that if he was not interested to avail of the service, the circumcision activity will be on a scheduled basis, and it will be a burden to him.

Moreover, a doctor who was on duty that day, clarified that ONA’s service for circumcision is free.
