CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — About 12,615 private sector workers in Central Luzon who were affected by flexible work arrangements or temporary closure due to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak received financial aid from Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
Under Department Order No. 209 series of 2020, private establishments that have implemented those may apply under the COVID-19 Adjustment Measures Program (CAMP).
“Upon approval, each of their employees will receive a one-time financial support of PhP5,000 transferred directly to the employee’s payroll account or through money remittance centers,” DOLE Regional Director Ma. Zenaida Angara-Campita said.
A total of PhP63.075 million were distributed among the 12,615 affected workers throughout Central Luzon.
“These employees are from 664 establishments. MLhuillier sent each of the beneficiaries a message notifying them of the PhP5,000 financial support under DOLE’s CAMP. Beneficiaries claimed the cash personally in any branch near them,” Campita added.
Applications from 236 establishments covering 4,340 affected workers were approved in Pampanga while 124 establishments with 3,624 workers were from Bulacan.
89 approved establishments with 1,296 workers were from Tarlac; 84 establishments with 1,304 workers from Zambales; 60 establishments with 1,059 workers from Bataan; 37 establishments with 596 workers from Nueva Ecija and 34 establishments with 396 workers from Aurora.
