At least 4,000 runners are expected to participate in one of the biggest running event in Pampanga at the TATA Consultancy Services – CLARK ANIMO 8 2017 on March 12 to be held at Clark Freeport Zone organized by the Dela Salle Alumni Association (DLSAA-Pampanga Chapter).
Rafael Angeles, President of DLSAA said that “this years’ event will be the biggest since 2009 wherein 4,000 runners are expected to register to join the activity on March 12 (Sunday) at Clark Freeport.”
“This is the first that we will be having the biggest participation of running enthusiasts in the Clark Animo Run, and we are happy in the turn- out of participants who are very supportive,” Angeles said.
Angeles said that Clark Animo Run 7 will have categories such as the 5 kilometer, 10 kilometer, 21 kilometer and 42km full marathon, adding that the 42km category was included two years ago to make it more challenging for the runners.
Angeles also said that this years’ running activity will feature the route leading to the Clark International Airport Passenger Terminal Building wherein the participants will have a chance to see the airport’s facilities.
“This is the second year that we included the Clark Airport route as part of our support to the Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC) promotion for the Clark Airport”
“And we the DLSAA Pampanga Chapter would like to take this opportunity to thank CIAC President and CEO Alexander Cauguiran for the full support to our activity,” Angeles stressed.
Angeles also thank Vice President for Business and Development Group Darwin Cunanan for the support.
He also said that the proceeds of the event will go the Angeles City Watershed as part of their project dubbed as “Green Run for a Cause”.
Several prizes for each of the categories are at stake for the running event at Clark.
