Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completed a road concreting project in Capas, Tarlac.
Implemented by Tarlac 2nd District Engineering Office, the P19-million project is located in Sitio Paraiso, Barangay Sta. Lucia.
District Engineer Hermon Ines said the project’s scope of works includes the paving of the 2.069-kilometer section of road with a pavement width of 5 lineal meters and thickness of 0.23 meters.
The new paved road funded under the 2022 General Appropriations Act will greatly enhance mobility as well as support agriculture and rural development in the area.
“Local residents and farmers in Sitio Paraiso will now have better access to health, education and social services,” Ines furthered.
They no longer go through muddy and uneven roads during the rainy season as they already have a stable and safer road to travel.
