MACCII prexy wants business opportunities for all

Metro Angeles Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. (MACCII) President Elizabeth Carlos-Timbol is pushing inclusivity in commerce or what she described as “Creating Investments & Business Opportunities for ALL” (CIBOforALL) citing the need for collaboration.

Speaking before members of MACCII during its general assembly on Tuesday at the Holy Angel University in Angeles City, Carlos-Timbol said, “As the president, I lived out my personal advocacy on inclusivity for businesses big or small and come up with #CIBOforALL, Creating Investments & Business Opportunities for ALL.”

Carlos-Timbol seeks further collaboration among entrepreneurs. “Unlike let’s say, HARP, ATTAP, CREBA, PICPA, RBAP, it’s all clear that members have the same interests unlike in MACCII, members come from different business sectors. But my mantra, there should be no competition. Instead, there should be collaboration to attain greater impact.”

“There are several organizations in every area. The challenge is always on how to recruit members, retention of members, and inclusivity knowing that members come from different businesses,” said Carlos-Timbol.

Carlos-Timbol zeroed in on the development of a business ecosystem mapping conduct seminars/webinars on relevant topics on the Encephalon process, the KITTO process, the Sibul process, grant funding process, grant paper writing, Hackathon events, start-up business briefer and other possible joint events the group can do for start-up business developments. This will benefit “our members and Council members,” said Carlos-Timbol.

During the meeting, MACCII touched on the issue of food security, the Sibul Process, the success story of Sakahon, and the Encephalon and Kitto Process.

“We will also forge the MOU and MOA signing with MACCII as the lead convenor for the Pampanga Business Development Coordinating Council, that will comprise the Clark Investors and Locators Association (CILA), Ateneo Graduate School of Business Clark Student Council, Metro Clark Information and Communications Technology Council, Hotels and Restaurants Association in Pampanga, Young Entrepreneurs of Pampanga, Young Farmers Challenge Club of the Philippines, Inc. the Metro Angeles Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc., and the Food Sec Filipinas, Inc.
MACCII later welcomed its new members.

Recently, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. awarded MACCII as ‘Most Outstanding Chamber’ Award last October 20. “In behalf of our chairman Arnee Valdez, Board of Advisors Ely Narciso, Pete Nepomucemo, Renato “Abong” Tayag, and the Board of Directors, we would like to dedicate the award to all past presidents ahead of us. This would not be made possible if not because of them.”
