Department of Science and Technology (DOST) will launch the Technology Training and Information Promoting Sciences (TechTIPS) Program in Tarlac.
This is in response to the call of DOST Secretary Renato Solidum Jr. to promote science culture in the provinces.
DOST Provincial Director Karen Dañez said the monthly activity aims to provide training and information about sciences, technology, and innovations to inspire students and adults alike with opportunities offered by science and technology.
For its premiere episode this February, it will feature women scientists in line with the celebration of International Day of Women and Girls in Sciences.
“We invited experts from various DOST agencies such as Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration; Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology; and Philippine Space Agency who can motivate students to pursue careers in sciences with our The Women Career Pathway episode,” Dañez shared.
TechTIPS will not be limited to Tarlac audiences but for every Filipino who is interested in widening their knowledge on science and technology. (CLJD/GLSB-PIA 3)
