CAMP OLIVAS — Central Luzon cops have arrested two suspects in separate anti-illegal drug operations in Angeles City and Bataan and seized more than P4 million worth of shabu.
Col. Amado Mendoza Jr. Angeles City police Chief identified the suspect as Matarentis Mariga alias “Ate,” 25, of San Miguel, Quiapo, Manila. Mariga was arrested in an entrapment on Tangle Road, Purok 1, Bgy. Cutud, Angeles City.
Seized from her were at least 450 grams of shabu valued at P3,060,000.
In Mariveles, Bataan, police conducted a buy-bust which led to the arrest of Rei John Sebastian, a 33-year-old fisherman.
He yielded some 150 grams of shabu worth P1,020,000, and a .38 revolver loaded with three live bullets.
The suspects will be charged with violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and RA 10591.
“I commend our troops for successfully arresting individuals involved in high-value illegal drugs. PRO3 remains committed to eradicating the use and sale of prohibited drugs,” Hidalgo said.
