SM City Pampanga shared with Kapampangan mallgoers a spectacular night—transforming anew the Pampanga Eye to the ‘Biggest Lantern of Hope’, Friday evening.
Thousands of spectators witnessed a pyromusical show, while key government figures in the province, including San Fernando Vice Mayor BJ “Tiger” Lagman and City Tourism and Investment Promotions Officer Ching Pangilinan, who spoke on behalf of Mayor Vilma Balle-Caluag, gracing the occasion.
SM City Pampanga Mall Manager Charmaine Lyn Bacani said that the Pampanga Eye, which stands 65 meters tall, remains to be the country’s tallest ferris wheel, and this gigantic piece is likewise a symbol of the Fernandino and Kapampangan Christmas spirit, being housed in the Home of the Giant Lanterns and Christmas Capital of the Philippines.
Keeping true to its “SM Cares” brand, the mall giant, in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development, also handed out its Bears of Joy and holiday treats to children-beneficiaries from Porac, with San Fernando’s delegate to the Mutya ning Kapampangan 2024 Rose Marie Medina among those who distributed the items.
Young love team and actors Francine Diaz and Seth Fedelin, who stars in the Metro Manila Film Festival 2024 entry “My Future You,” also graced the event.
