Abu Sayyaf member falls in Bulacan raid

CITY OF SAN JOSE DEL MONTE, Bulacan – Combined police and military forces swooped down on a house in Harmony Hills 2, Bgy. Muzon here and captured an alleged member of the Mindanao-based terror group Abu Sayyaf Tuesday night.

In a report to Bulacan police director Senior Supt. Romeo Caramat Jr., SJDM City police chief Supt. Fitz Macariola identified the arrested suspect as Rolly Agang Alif, a native of Jolo, Sulu; and presently residing in this city.

Macariola said that joint elements of the SJDM City police, Provincial Intelligence Branch headed by Supt. Marlon Santos, the Special Weapons and Tactics Team of the Provincial Public Safety Company and the Intelligence Service Armed Forces of the Philippines (ISAFP) were armed with warrant of arrest in criminal case No. 128923 (6 counts) of kidnapping and serious illegal detention with ransom issued by Pasig City RTC Branch 266 Judge Toribio Ilao Jr.,

The suspected terrorist did not resist arrest, Macariola said.

The joint team recovered a fragmentation grenade from the possession of the suspect who will be brought to the court of origin for proper disposition. –EMIL G. GAMOS
