AFAB welcomes new group of Chinese investors

MARIVELES, Bataan – Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) Chairman and Administrator Emmanuel Pineda joined top officials of Grand Innovasia Concept Corporation (GICC) in the Memorandum of Understanding signing with Tianhexin Investment Group.

The AFAB signed MOU with Skytrust Investing Management (Group) Co. Ltd. represented by Cai Jianwu; Philippine Ellix Technology Inc.; Shanghai Shengpai Electronic Payment Service Co. Ltd.; and the GICC represented by its President, Ms. Xiaojing T. Luo.


Beijing Skytrust is China’s leading investment public relationship in the governmental and financial areas in holdings that consists of companies that offer online/offline payment, internet investment, public relation convention, golf services, and insurance agent especially for banks.

In recent years, the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB) has been touted as the economic dragon of the Philippines, attracting major industries in the manufacturing sector, business process outsourcing (BPO) and information technology (IT).

Among all the FAB locators, GICC is the only Master Licensor for BPO Online/Interactive Gaming for the international market.

GICC is presently building the first techno park in the free port, which will serve as GICC’s centre for BPO online and interactive gaming activities, and other IT services, such as data centres, in the country.

GICC expresses their confidence that the FAB will boost the firms’ business, noting that it is an investment-friendly free port that offers superior incentives.

The AFAB provides income tax holidays for up to eight years, and exemptions from import taxes on capital equipment and raw materials, wharfage dues and export taxes. – MHIKE R. CIGARAL
