Be On Time

AirAsia Philippines advised all guests to allot ample time before scheduled departure Ideally, guests should be at the airport 4 hours before the flight for international travel and 3 hours for domestic travel.

Guests should make sure to prepare all necessary documents, especially for international trips: a passport, a round-trip itinerary, a visa, if necessary, and other supporting documents such as a certificate of employment, income tax, and a bank certificate to validate the travel intent of the passenger.

Online Check-in via airasia Super App

To avoid the long queue at the check-in counter, guests are advised to check in flight via airasia Super App.

AirAsia Philippines Communications and Public Affairs Country Head Steve Dailisan said, “We understand the sentiments of travelers who are being offloaded for various reasons. We feel their frustrations especially since most of them have certainly saved money and have prepared for their dream vacation this summer. For humanitarian reasons, AirAsia will be assisting guests who will be offloaded through our customer happiness team. However, we are one with the government in making sure that Filipinos would not fall victim to human trafficking and illegal recruitment.”

According to the Bureau of Immigration, in 2022, 32,404 Filipinos were deferred departure, 472 of which have been found to be victims of human trafficking or illegal recruitment. Moreover, 873 of them presented fraudulent documents and at least 10 have been found to be either underaged or minors who attempted to depart to work abroad.

Guests who have queries on flight schedules, rebooking, and other travel-related issues meanwhile are advised to access ‘Ask Bo’, AirAsia’s new customer concierge service which replaces AVA. The Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA), on the other hand, offers the online payment for the Philippine Travel Tax via online travel tax services system.
