PILAR, Bataan — About 22 members of the City of Balanga Small Ruminant Raisers Association (COBSRRA) graduated from the Farmers’ Livestock School in Goat Production of the provincial government.
Aside from their diplomas, graduates also received 10 female goats as a start-up for their goat meat production business.
Moreover, COBSRRA received a P1 million grant from Department of Labor and Employment.
COBSRAA President Exequiel Espiritu said they will work on providing sufficient supply of goat meat and products in Bataan.
“Aside from the meat, we are also looking at establishing a goat milking industry which will help us produce other products such as ice cream and sweets,” Espiritu added.
COSBRAA members were the fifth to finish in the said training which started last August 2013. –Mar Jay S. Delas Alas
