Balgan unopposed for Macabebe VM post, brother to run for mayor

MACABEBE, Pampanga – Mayor Annette Flores Balgan filed her certificate of candidacy (COC) for vice mayor on Wednesday. The three-term mayor
is unopposed.

Balgan’s brother, Association of Barangay Captains (ABC) President Edgar “Gang” Flores, filed his COC for mayor. They are both under the
Kapanalig at Kambilan Ning Memalen Pampanga (Kambilan) party headed by Pampanga Gov. Lilia Pineda.

“I want to assist my brother (Flores) that’s why I still run for vice mayor. I want us to prioritize our present programs, notably for the youth and education,” said Balgan.

“We also want to make our people self-reliant,” she added.

Seven incumbent councilors – Bembong Balgan, Carlito Tragora, Bogs Bustos, Andrei Polintan, Jun Silva, Cecilia Rubina and Ran Guintu – are included in the party of Balgan and Flores. Sta. Cruz Barangay Captain Taburung Yabut, a former councilor, is also included in their line-up for councilor.

Balgan and Flores vowed to support the plans and programs of the Pineda government.
