Barangay chief: Lazatin ‘reliable’

ANGELES CITY — “Members of the Lazatin family are reliable that’s why I am supporting them all the way.”

Thus said Malabanias Barangay Captain Reynaldo “Jumong” Gueco during his recent State of the Barangay Address (SOBA) at the barangay hall here.

Gueco disclosed that he had approached the Lazatins several times when his constituents were in need and “I get more than I expected for my people.” They are former Angeles City Mayor and Congressman and now Balibago Barangay Chief Carmelo “Tarzan” Lazatin, Angeles City Councilor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin and First District Rep. Carmelo “Jonjon” Lazatin.

“One time, I asked the elder Lazatin help and food for 500 people who were affected by floods. I instead got food and help for 3,000
people,” said Gueco in the dialect.

“I am supporting their political plans because they really help,” he added. Pogi Lazatin is running for mayor, while Jonjon is seeking
re-election.

Pogi Lazatin, Gueco said, is like his father who has delivered basic social services to the people.

In his speech, Pogi Lazatin he will drastically improve the health services at the Ospital Ning Angeles (ONA) if elected mayor.

Pogi Lazatin commended members of the Barangay Council headedGueco for implementing “worthy projects and programs for his constituents.”

He also expressed his gratitude to Malabanias residents for their continued support to the Lazatins Gueco said Jonjon Lazatin has given multi-million infrastructure projects to Malabanias.
