Bataan forms Provincial Census Coordinating Board

BALANGA CITY — Bataan formed its Provincial Census Coordinating Board (PCCB) in preparation for the 2020 Census of Population and Housing (CPH).

Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Bataan Chief Statistical Specialist Ledesma Morante said they are tasked to form CBB on the regional, provincial, city and municipal level to enjoin government agencies and other stakeholders in providing assistance required for the conduct of the census.

“Our PCCB is composed of Governor Albert Raymond Garcia as Chairperson while Department of Education Bataan Schools Division Superintendent Jessie Ferrer as Vice Chairperson and is consisted of representatives from the national government agencies, provincial offices and private sectors as members,” she revealed.

“They have vowed to support the 2020 census in terms of information dissemination, transportation services and logistics,” Morante furthered.

The organizational meeting was held Friday in Balanga City in which PSA discussed the commitment of each member and the coverage of the CPH in the province.

Municipal CBB has also been formed in some towns in the province to ensure smooth flow of the upcoming CPH operations.

The creation of PCCB is pursuant to PSA Board Resolution No. 05 Series of 2019 ensuring the systematic coordination of government agencies and instrumentalities involved in the conduct of the census.
