Mariveles, BATAAN – To ensure that the workers and residents in the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB) are not just well-trained and equipped but also healthy, the Grand Innovasia Concept Corp. (GICC) conducts a series of medical missions in partnership with the Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan(AFAB).
GICC holds medical and dental missions for all residents of Mariveles and workers of the FAB every quarter. In 2016, it also conducted the same health program in the towns of Hermosa and Dinalupihan.
GICC, a developer which houses BPO firms that providetechnical support activities for online gaming, has already donated a total of Php1,773,829.05 for medical missions. Thousands of residents have tremendously benefitted from the CSR program.
AFAB Chairman and Administrator Emmanuel D. Pineda recognized the initiatives of GICC to sponsor medical and dental missions in the FAB and in Mariveles as part of it corporate social responsibility (CSR).
“The CSR programs of GICC has helped the AFAB in ensuring that our labor force and our community in Mariveleshas access to their needed medical services,” AFAB Chairman Pineda said.
“It is very important for the AFAB to have partners and locators who support us in our mission to help the people of the FAB and Mariveles,” the chairman added.
Establishing health infrastructures is also one of the CSR programs of GICC. The FAB-registered enterprise supported the construction of the health center in Brgy. Baseco and the Bataan Drug Rehabilitation Center.
“GICC is not only engaged in medical missions but it has also contributed to providing infrastructures such as the construction of PNP stations. It supports the provision of quality education in Bataan by giving school bags in barangays Biaan and Bonifacio and donating top computers to the Bataan National High School,” said Commodore Amado Sanglay(Ret.), a GICC board member during his presentation inside FAB.
Meanwhile, Chairman Pineda has encouraged FAB locators to become partners of the AFAB in giving back to the community.
“CSR programs help the AFAB and the locators give free services to the people on the ground. They are great instruments of success that show to the people our gratitude to them for supporting the freeport. I hope that we can conduct many CSR programs not only in the sector of health, but also in education and livelihood through strong partnership with the FAB locators,” Chairman Pineda stressed.
The FAB is the emerging fashion manufacturing hub of the Philippines, as it possesses a budding cluster of companies producing high-end brands of garments, apparel, shoes and accessories, like bags, jewelries, among others.
