Bataan launches tour packages

Provincial government launched several tour packages that aim to meet the growing demand of those planning to visit Bataan.

Travel and Behold Bataan Tour Packages were conceived in partnership with local tour operators, municipal and city governments, and other stakeholders.

Provincial Tourism Officer Alicia Pizarro shared that the inspiration of this project came from their benchmarking activity in Bali, Indonesia.

“During our benchmarking activity, we have observed that we can do better, particularly in valuing our culture because this defines who we are, what we have, our roots and history. We hope that through the packages we developed, it is the beginning of how we are going to promote and give a glimpse of what Bataan has to offer,” Pizarro said.

The four packages are World War II Circuit, Faith Tourism, Funtastic Farm and Adventure Tour, and Culture and Crafts Tour.

World War II Circuit includes trips to the Bataan Tourism Center, Bataan Tourism Park, Plaza Mayor de Ciudad de Balanga, The Bunker, Catholic Church Belfry Cathedral-Shrine Parish of St. Joseph, Bataan World War II Museum, Surrender Site Marker, Flaming Sword, Zero Km. Death March Marker-Mariveles, Mt. Samat National Shrine, 00 Km Death March Marker-Bagac, Philippine-Japan Friendship Tower, and First Line of Defense Marker.

Moreover, Faith Tourism package covers Bataan Tourism Center, Bataan Tourism Park, Cathedral-Shrine Parish of St. Joseph, Tatak Vicente Replicas, Nuestra Señora Del Pilar, Mt. Samat National Shrine, St. Dominic de Guzman Church, Minor Basilica and Shrine Parish of Our Lady of the Rosary of Orani, and Museo ni Maria.

Funtastic Farm and Adventure package, on the other hand, will take tourists to Bataan Tourism Center, Bataan Tourism Park, Mt. Samal National Shrine, Tala Orani Multi-Purpose Cooperative, Diaz Farm, Sinagtala Farm and Adventure Park or La Jolla Luxury Beach Resort.

And lastly, itinerary for the Culture and Crafts consists of Bataan Tourism Center, Bataan Tourism Park, The Bunker, Plaza Mayor de Ciudad de Balanga and Cathedral-Shrine Parish of St. Joseph, Tatak Vicente, Pulo Handicraft, Museo ng Kagitingan, Amanda’s Marine Products, Mt. Samat National Shrine, Philippine-Japan Friendship Tower, Zero Km. Death March Marker, Bataan Technology Park Inc., and Aling Loleng’s Hutieu-an.
