CAMP CIRILO TOLENTINO, Bataan — The Bataan Police Provincial Office (BPPO) under the leadership of Police Colonel Jesus Rebua officially launched on Monday morning, the “Disiplina Muna” national advocacy campaign.
The said campaign was initiated earlier this year by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) before the government-imposed lockdowns to curb and minimize the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The advocacy campaign aims to promote the culture of discipline among Filipinos and encourage all local government units (LGUs) to empower their respective communities in terms of participation.
Miss Melissa Del Rosario Nipal (LGOO VIII), Cluster Head of DILG Bataan served as the guest and honor and speaker.
Col. Rebua together with other high ranking officials of the BPPO, the chiefs of police from 11 towns and a component city, along with other personnel led the launching through an oath-taking ceremony held at the Camp’s covered court marking the beginning of their roles as frontrunners in the said campaign.
The event was highlighted by the signing of a pledge of commitment of the participants led by PNP personnel and representatives from different sectors.
The launching was held simultaneously in most parts of the country including the Police Regional Office 3 in Camp Olivas, Pampanga led by Central Luzon Police Chief, Police Brigadier General Rhodel Sermonia.
“We aim to promote the culture of discipline within our organization and empower our communities in terms of participation and in doing so, we must first instill in ourselves the true essence of discipline. Let us all remember that today’s launching is the beginning of a bigger word that awaits us all-IMPLEMENTATION. When we talk of implementation, we mean stronger participation and I encourage all of you to give your 100% support to this advocacy,” PBGen. Sermonia said.
