Bigger, better Aqua Planet relaunched

Aqua Planet celebrated its grand relaunch as the first and biggest water theme park in Asia on Jan. 18.

A neon-themed party dubbed “Welcome to the Planet” was attended by diplomats from various Association of Southeast Asian Nation (ASEAN) countries.

The program started with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Dr. Irineo “Bong” Alvaro Jr., President of BB International Leisure and Resort Development, Aqua Planet General Manager Simon Chiang and other VIP guests.

Hosted by Vince Velasco of ABS-CBN Lifestyle, the relaunch party was filled with digital presentation on the 600-inch LED TV and breathtaking circus performances by Formosa Circus from Taiwan.

“Aqua Planet is now open, more beautiful, and much more amazing. It is fun. It is total entertainment. It is international, ” Dr. Alvaro said during his welcome speech.

Chiang, for his part, pledged nothing but bigger and better #WatermazingExperience in this new season. He also expressed his gratitude to all guests for their continuous support.

The 10-hectare Aqua Planet offers 38 world-class water thrill attractions, as it takes pride in being one of the biggest and most-modern water parks in Asia today. It offers reinvented swimming experience, countless delectable eats, total entertainment, reliable shopping, and many more other exciting features for guests of all ages.

In 2018, Aqua Planet achieved a world- record for hosting the Swimming Lessons Save Lives–a worldwide movement to fight childhood drowning. It is the first and only facility in the Philippines to participate in the said event facilitated by swimming coaches and attended by 1,273 registrants from public schools, non-profit organizations, and indigenous companies.

Weekend rate is pegged at P1,180 for adults and P980 for kids (4 ft. and below). Weekday rates are at P950 for adults and P750 for kids (4 ft. and below).
