BM Teri Onor graces Brigada Eskwela 2018 in Abucay

ABUCAY, Bataan – Three-termer Bataan Board Member Dexter Dominguez, popularly known as Teri Onor in show business, this morning graced the Brigada Eskwela 2018 in his hometown here.

This year’s Brigada runs on a theme: “Pagkakaisa para sa handa, ligtas at matatag na paaralan tungo sa magandang kinabukasan.”

The said activity was done simultaneously in Tomas Pinpin Memorial Elementary School, Bonifacio Camacho National High School, and BCNHS Senior High School.

Next month, Dominguez is scheduled to distribute school supplies to various public schools here.

Dominguez said that Brigada Eskwela is proof that an effective partnership between the government and citizens is possible.

DepEd in 1998 addressed issues of lack of classrooms, overcrowded classrooms and schools not ready for school opening, etc., through the Adopt-a-School Program (ASP). This initiative allowed a partnership with other stakeholders who are willing to share resources to improve the country’s public school education.
In a few years, the spirit of volunteerism reached 200 partners and generated P6 billion worth of programs and interventions.

Meanwhile, Dominguez said he is planning to run for a higher office in his hometown after he finished his last term as provicial board member next year.
