The City Schools Division of San Fernando formally kicked-off this year’s Brigada Eskwela during the Monday’s flag raising ceremony.
Anchored on the theme “Matatag na Bayan para sa Maunlad na Paaralan,” the annual activity seeks to unite students, teachers, parents, public and private sectors in helping and supporting the preparation of the public school facilities for school year 2019-2020.
To express their gratitude to all the partner stakeholders who have supported the activity for more than four years, through the donation of school buildings and schools supplies, the City Schools Division recognized its Top 3 sustained partners: SM foundation; R & R Holistic and Diagnostic Center; and Rotary Club of San Fernando.
During his speech, Mayor Edwin “EdSa” Santiago lauded the division for their untiring efforts and dedication in providing quality education to the Fernandino students.
He furthered that the Local Government of San Fernando will remain steadfast in supporting the students in their education, since it is the administration’s top priority.
“Napakahalaga ng edukasyon. Kaya naman asahan niyo na mananatiling numero uno and edukasyon sa lahat dito sa City of San Fernando. Nagpapasalamat din tayo sa mga private partners natin na walang sawang sumusuporta sa atin upang makamit ang ating mithiin,” said Santiago.
The City Schools Division still accepts any kind of donations, including school and teacher supplies, hygiene and emergency kits.
The Brigada Eskwela will continue until May 25, 2019.
