BSP Tarlac Council successfully conducts Kid Scouts Day 2019 at SM

Over 600 preschooler KID (Kabataang Imumulat Diwa) scouts joined the Kids Scouts Day at SM City Tarlac on September 6, 2019. Kid Scouting is one of the sections of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines and the first step in the scouting trail which offers a continuing program to help the youth develop values and acquire competencies to become responsible citizens and capable leaders anchored on the Scout Oath and Law.

“We, in BSP Tarlac Council, holds Kid Scouts Day annually. This activity is intended for Kinder 1 and Kinder 2 or preschoolers to start teaching independence at an early age, sportsmanship through games while fostering friendship with different schools”, said Ms. Salve Aguilar, Council Scout Executive of BSP – Tarlac Council.

The Boy Scouts of the Philippines offers five (5) Sectional Programs for young boys and girls – KID, KAB, Boy, Senior and Rover Scouting. The Scouting Program is anchored on the philosophy of the Scout Method, ‘learning by doing’; it is a form of experiential learning where young boys and girls are encouraged to teach themselves rather than being taught or instructed. The development is a result of first-hand experiences as opposed to theoretical instruction.
