Bulacan PNP ready for ‘Undas’

More than 924 police officers while 2,713 Force Multipliers were deployed to assist the motorist as an influx of people who will pay homage to their loved ones are expected during the observance of the All Saints Days and All Souls Day.

Bulacan Police director Sr. Supt. Chito Bersaluna said that the Bulacan Police Red Team were tasked to conduct an inspection and to check the preparation of the different police stations and other support units of this Office including the police hubs established in this province.

In preparation for this yearly tradition, the Bulacan Police established Police Assistance Desk’s (PAD’s), Motorist Assistance Desk’s (MAC’s), and Traffic Assistance Desk (TAD’s) in different strategic areas such as the cemeteries, bus terminals, point of entry and exit along North Luzon Expressway (NLEX).

This will serve as security measures to assist the motorist and maintain peace and order in the province, Bersaluna said.

He said the goal of deployment is not just police visibility but also to feel their presence in the areas of convergence to assist the commuters particularly the senior citizens and persons with disability.

Bulacan PNP encourages the public to stay vigilant and assures that all its units including the established PAD’s, MAD’s, and TAD’s are on standby, to guard against criminals who may take advantage during the season and ready to respond to any situation in case of emergency.

Meanwhile, the emergency response team of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO)-Bulacan Rescue including all the local government units of the province are all set for ‘Oplan Kaluluwa’ in line with the observance of All Souls’ Day on November 1.

According to Malou Tapican, head of the PDRRMO Operation and Warning Division, a memorandum was already sent to all local chief executives in Bulacan that orders strict compliance and participation to ‘Oplan Kaluluwa’.

Before the said date, there will be five teams headed by members of the Bulacan Rescue that will visit all municipalities in the province to conduct an actual check on the emergency response teams.

A first aid station will be set up in front of the Capitol on October 30 until November 3, in time for the resume of school classes.

The said office has already coordinated with different Non-Government Organizations (NGO) including Rescue 117 and Rescue 247.

Meanwhile, acting Governor Daniel Fernando told that the concern authorities were already alerted to ensure the safety of all Bulakenyos and other motorists.

Also, Bulacan Rescue has posted in their Facebook page the safety tips and reminders on observance of All Souls’ Day including calling to Bulacan Rescue hotline number 791-0566 in case of emergency. –ELOISA SILVERIO
