City of San Fernando—The “Library on Wheels”, one of the flagship projects of the Provincial Library has reached out to 14 public elementary schools in the different municipalities and far-flung barangays of the province.

The Library on wheels has served a total of 1,351 school children through Bookmobile Service in three months – September, October and November last year.

Bessie Macabali, provincial librarian said the purpose of library on wheels is to bring excellent library services to pupils in barangays without public library.

Macabali said the program provides the pupils opportunity to read books, given guidance, storytelling and film showing.
