CLARK FREEPORT — The Clark Development Corporation (CDC) has been recognized as Universal Health Care Champion by PhilHealth Region III for expanding health protection and accessible medical services for Freeport workers.

The award was conferred on November 20 during PhilHealth’s Regional Recognition Program at the Kingsborough International Convention Center in San Fernando, Pampanga.

CDC President and CEO Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera said the recognition affirms the corporation’s role in promoting worker welfare and strengthening community health.

“Healthy workers build a stronger Clark. This recognition reflects our continuing commitment to align CDC’s programs with national priorities under the Universal Health Care Act,” she said.

PhilHealth Region III cited CDC’s exemplary performance as a government regulatory agency in supporting the full implementation of the Universal Health Care Act (RA 11223) within the Freeport community.

Through its Health and Sanitation Division (CDC-HSD), CDC operates the PhilHealth Konsulta Facility, an accredited provider of primary care, preventive services, and wellness programs for Freeport workers. The division has also broadened health-focused initiatives, including the launch of a Healthy Lifestyle Forum this year to promote employee wellness.

Several employees expressed appreciation for how the Konsulta program has expanded access to preventive care and essential medical services.

“PH Konsulta, through the initiative of CDC-HSD, has been greatly beneficial to our family. What we first assumed to be a limited service turned out to provide timely medical assistance and significant savings. We are sincerely grateful for this program,” said Annette Narciso of the Investment Promotions Division I of CDC.

Another employee emphasized how the program serves not only CDC workers but the wider Freeport community.

“The PH Konsulta Facility not only benefits our co-employees and their families but also the whole locators in Clark ay nagbe-benefit dito sa program na ito. ‘Yung program na ito ay para sa mga mamamayang Pilipino—karapatan natin lahat,” said Joemar Sanchez of the Human Resources Division of CDC.
