Chinese kidnap victim escapes from captors 

CAMP OLIVAS — A 36-year-old Chinese national escaped from his captors by jumping out of a small window on New Year’s Eve in San Simon, Pampanga, police said yesterday.

A report submitted to Police Regional Office 3 Director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr. identified the victim as Dong Wen Long, a resident of New Port City in Pasay City.

Officer on case PSSg Jan Aaron L. Abrenica said the victim was rescued at La Trevi Subdivision in Bgy.  Sta. Monica, San Simon, Pampanga.

Prior to the rescue, the victim told police that he was abducted by unidentified fellow Chinese nationals at 11pm on December 28, 2023 while he was walking home in Pasay City.

He said the suspects covered his head and forced him into a Sedan then took him to San Simon.

According to Long, during his captivity, he was always beaten by the suspects with rattan stick.

His ordeal was captured on video and sent by the kidnappers to his family in China to demand ransom money.

Long said at around 2pm on December 31, he managed to escape through the window of the apartment building where he was held captive and immediately sought help from the neighbors of the said subdivision.

The victim was brought to San Luis District Hospital for medical attention.

Members of the San Simon Municipal Police Station immediately coordinated with the Pasay City Police Station and the Anti-Kidnapping Group for follow-up investigation and the arrest of the suspects.
