City College of Angeles conferred with excellence award by global BPO giant

ANGELES CITY – The City College of Angeles (CCA) added another feather to its cap as it was accorded by the international business process outsourcing (BPO) giant Sutherland Global Services with a Certificate of Excellence recently at Royce Hotel and Casino.

During the company’s global customer service provider’s Partner Summit held January 26 in Clark Freeport Zone, CCA was invited along with other partner schools and government agencies.

Out of the 30 partner institutions, CCA emerged as the only higher education institution to have received the said award along with Clark Development Corporation and Pampanga Manpower and Training Center.

The recognition cited CCA as an active partner that contributed in bridging the gap between education and employment through strategic partnership in the previous year. The award was received by Institute of Computing Studies and Library Information Science (ICSLIS) Dean Mark Superio and Practicum Coordinators Wilburt Coronel and Renz Marion Cunanan.

CCA President Dr. Richard Daenos said that the distinction is a testament to the commitment of the city college in uplifting the quality of learning and instruction that will redound to the benefit of the students.

Having heard the news, Mayor Edgardo Pamintuan extended his warm congratulations and lauded the efforts of the school administration for making the college uphold its stature as an institution of hope and higher learning.

“I doff my hat to all our academic stewards at CCA for attaining numerous awards which we dedicate to all of our students who once dreamt of pursuing college education,” said Mayor Pamintuan during the 5th Session of the 9th Local Development Council last January 30.

“In the near future, we will have CCA free of tuition fees. For now, let us continue developing our educational platforms, let us turn their dreams into reality as while living up to our school’s core mission of total development of man,” the mayor added.

Dr. Daenos along with the members of the CCA administration were present during the LDC to present and discuss the 6-year development plan for the community college.
